In understandable language, Father Kereszty shows us that the Real Presence of Christ appears as a necessary implication of the self-donation of the God-man, Jesus Christ, and that this Real Presence points to an ecumenical approach which, while upholding the Catholic dogma, responds to the Protestant concern to acknowledge the empirical reality of the consecrated bread and wine.

Real understanding of the eucharistic mystery as mystery is possible only in the context of prayer and daily living nourished by the Eucharist. Hence, Father Kereszty show in this book, eucharistic doctrine and spirituality are inseparably connected.

Excellent overview of the development of eucharistic theology

This should be required reading for all seminarians entering the theology phase of their studies. The only criticism I have is that the first two chapters seem a bit rushed. It would have been better if Fr. Kerezsty spent more time developing the connection between Jewish sacrifice and the sacrifice of the Mass.

Doug Vucevic: Upon an early retirement from the IBM Development Lab in Toronto, where he had worked as a software developer, Doug has been working as an independent consultant to major banks, insurance and retail companies in Toronto, in the field of Software Engineering. Doug's consulting assignments have been in leading quality assurance and testing efforts for: data warehousing, BI and Data Mining in financial, insurance and retail industries. Doug holds Masters' Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication and is a member of the Registered Professional Engineers of the province of Ontario. Wayne Yaddow: Wayne Yaddow has spent more than twenty years developing and testing operating system code at IBM. During the most recent ten years, he devoted his time as an IT consultant, conducting QA on data migration and data integration for large data warehouse projects in the financial industry. While working as a consultant, he shared his data warehousing knowledge with many colleagues on the Internet and in work assignments in New York City.

Good basic data warehouse guide

As someone with experience in software development and testing, but new to data warehouse, I am finding this book to be helpful. The information is presented in a way that is easy to understand, and there are a lot of useful examples and checklists. This will be a helpful guide for progressing with my ETL testing. My only issue with this book is the very sloppy editing, which becomes very distracting at times. I deducted 1 star for that.

Not worth your time

Clearly an improvement over the previous edition _Testing_the_Data_Warehouse_Application_ but still disappointing. The authors describe what you might do without explaining why. This is a serious topic that deserves a better reference.

Several of the examples are very poor. They do little to explain the concepts and the code itself is frighteningly amateur.

Couldn't get past chapter one.

I wanted to like this book, but couldn't get into it. Probably not aimed at people like me, older woman with an advanced degree. I did find it believable since I lived through the 70s. Put it down before I finished that looooooooog first chapter, which drove me crazy. Of course, the author can definitely put sentences together.

The movie's better!

Usually books are superior to the movies adapted from them. This however is an instance where I believe the movie is better than the book. I consider myself a reasonably intelligent person, but The Ice Storm is written over my head. Even though I feel Rick Moody is a talented writer, this seems more like a book to be dissected in the college classroom.
I kept finding myself looking forward to reading snippets that showed up in the movie, so I could relate to something. The characters never seemed real to me, and certainly not likable, unlike in the movie. Even with their character flaws, I enjoyed getting to know the Hoods & the Williams (Carvers in the movie)and their weaknesses in the movie.
